BL-50-3K BALUN 1:1 (50:50 Ohms)

The BL-50-3K is a high-performance 1:1 current balun (choke balun) designed specifically for 6-meter operation. Covering 50-54MHz, it’s ideal for 6m Yagis, dipoles, quad loops, and other balanced antennas.

With over 7000 Ohms of common-mode choking impedance (approximately 37dB of common-mode rejection), the BL-50-3K delivers exceptional performance across the entire 6-meter band. See the measurement chart in the image gallery for actual test data. Unlike other companies, we do not claim unrealistic impedance values or frequency coverage.

Most importantly, the Resistive component (Rs) of the choking impedance is always higher than the Reactive component (Xs) across the working bandwidth. This Rs>Xs relationship ensures your antenna remains properly balanced, preventing your coaxial cable from becoming part of the radiator, which would otherwise degrade your radiation pattern and front-to-back ratio.
