Description

EFHW-7510-1K-ICAS™ Multi-Band End Fed Half Wave Antenna

“This is the first EFHW antenna we introduced back in 2015, and we are proud to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Over the years, we’ve made subtle enhancements to ensure top performance: the transformer has been refined, and the antenna wire has been upgraded to durable 16-gauge XLPE stealth wire. In 2016, this antenna was reviewed by ARRL QST Magazine, and you can read the detailed review here.

EFHW-7510-1KW-ICAS Multi-Band End Fed Half-Wave Antenna with pole/tower installation hardware

The EFHW-7510-1KW-ICAS is a premium End-Fed Half-Wave (EFHW) antenna designed for seamless multi-band operation across the 75/40/30/20/17/15/12/10m bands. Unlike many end-fed antennas on the market, this model requires no antenna tuner, thanks to its resonance on 80m (3.5 MHz) and its harmonics (2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.).

Features and Advantages

  • No Tuner Required: Fully resonant across multiple bands.
  • High-Efficiency Transformer:
    • Designed with two FT-240 (2.4-inch dia.) stacked cores for minimal insertion loss.
    • Transformation ratio of ~56:1 (~2800:50 Ohms).
    • Optimized for 3.5–30 MHz with an unmatched average loss of less than 0.6 dB—a benchmark in the market for RF transformers.
    • Worldwide leader in high-ratio, wide-bandwidth transformer design by E73M.
  • Flexible Installations:
    • Can be deployed in configurations such as horizontal, vertical, inverted V, or inverted L.
  • Stealth Design:
    • Constructed with durable, black #16 AWG XLPE wire for a low-visibility, weather-resistant installation.
    • Equipped with stainless steel hardware for longevity.

Technical Specifications

  • Frequency Range: 3.5–30 MHz.
  • Resonant Bands: 75/40/30/20/17/15/12/10m.
  • Power Handling:
    • 1 kW I.C.A.S. for voice modes.
    • 250W for digital modes such as FT8.
  • Wire Length: ~130 feet.
  • Connector: Silver/Teflon SO-239.
  • Transformer: MEF-330-1KW-ICAS, optimized for 3–30 MHz.
  • Pole /Tower hardware: U-bolts with V-blocks  for a diameter up to 2 inches (51mm)

Grounding Recommendations

  • Grounding the coaxial cable at the home’s entry point is highly recommended to protect equipment from electrostatic buildup and prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD).
  • If the transformer box is mounted high above the ground, grounding at the box is unnecessary—ground the coaxial cable instead.
  • Note: Grounding does not affect antenna tuning.

SWR Performance

  • Typical SWR readings are better than 2:1 when mounted 25–30 feet above ground and fed with 50 feet of RG8X coaxial cable.

Perfect for Emergency and Professional Use

This antenna is ideal for ALE HF-LinkNVISMARSARESEMCOMM, and similar applications. It’s suitable for both temporary and permanent installations, ensuring reliable communication in critical scenarios.

Haven’t put it up yet due to a straight week of rain. Looking forward to it. Shipping was quick.

This is a great quality antenna! I have wound many cores myself and played with EFWH antennas in many configurations building my own. Unless you know what you are doing, it’s difficult to get the efficiency of the transformer as low as MyAntennas does. I installed this as a half square antenna for a couple weeks just to see what it would do. Vertical 32′, horizontal 66′ and back down 32′. So this 75m 130 ft long antenna only takes up 66′ in the yard. And you don’t have to use those numbers exactly. If you are off by 10′ use that. It will work. And work good! I had a 200mw WSPR transmitter hooked up to it for a week and had it transmit on 80-10m. I received spots all over the world, Africa, Asia, Australia, North and South America, Alaska, Antarctica, Europe. And that was 0.2 watts. These are great antennas for beginners or experts. Can be installed way high, or stealthy. Can be installed as an inverted L, V, flat top dipole, halfsquare or any crazy dog leg manner to get it to fit on your property. Use a tree, a Spiderbeam pole. Just get it up into the air and you will make contacts. It’s also convenient being able to feed it from the end. Uses less coax than a regular center fed dipole and covers multiple band with only 1 wire.

Great antenna, I bought my first one in 2015 and it is still up on my tower and working well! Got another to use for field day and POTA activities.

Very well built. I have it as an inverted V at about 60′ in the middle. Performing far better than my vertical (quieter too). I highly recommend My Antennas products.

The antenna was shipped quickly. The 7510 will replace my storm-damaged 8010, which seemed to work well in a ‘temporary’ installation.

I have many of their antennas and they are my most trusted antennas. I highly recommend them!
I wish they would make a four or five toroid 5KW rated, 1.5 KW digital rated EFHW.

quality built antenna I have this set up as a sloper running north the south at the north end is the feed point at 20 feet and the high end is 45 feet exceptionally quiet. hears better than any other antenna I have I went back to the site a week later to buy another one and they were sold out. Would highly recommend anybody looking for an EFHW antenna.

    Exceptional ENFED antenna. Tnx!

  34. Jon

Excellent customer service and follow up. Very fast shipping. Unfortunately I can not seem to get an acceptable SWR (without a tuner) on four of the bands and I want to use it conjunction with an older tube amp. I really wanted to like it, I guess it’s my set up because I’m unable to do 90 degree angle to the peak without creating a trip hazard. With dogs and elderly folks all around me that just won’t work. I guess I can salvage the nice heavy wire for another project. Expensive mistake.

I’m a new Ham operator. I found this product to be extremely well made. It was very easy to install and seems to be working as advertised. I will happily recommend Myantennas.com and continue to buy their products.

As a first timer on HF Alls I can say is that it works well and is made to be servicable.

From the reviews I read and watched on YouTube (from hams who I trusted because they are generally critical), I felt certain that my choice was going to fit my needs just fine. From the early (very early) 1960’s, I have loved wire antennas. Traditional dipoles, a resonant one for EACH HF band of my choice was my thing in the day. Wire was cheap, I made my own insulators, the LARGE yard was filled with trees, and I had a bow and arrow. Shot a lot of fishing line back in the day over 80 foot pine trees, and climbed a lot of large oak trees.
Never had a misnamed antenna tuner. We called them “matchboxes”, and we built simple ones for obnoxiously long wires running through the trees.
With the EFHW-7510, an old Yaesu FT-847 and a basic Yaesu tuner, this antenna is amazing. I threw it up right after the Winter Field Day, ran it along a zig zag course where I had pre-installed pulleys and ropes, and I’m hearing a LOT less noise in the shack, and I get really good reports from 25 miles on 75 meters to long path QSO’s on 20 meters to VK-land. I dropped a 10-12 foot (didn’t measure it) piece of 14 ga TW wire for the counterpoise.
I will likely try an extension, since I have the room, for a shot on 160. Or I may order another balun and start from scratch for 160.
Thanks for putting together a well-built antenna. Not bad price, either, especially considering today’s prices for copper.
