Well made EFHW wire. Perfect match for the MEF-330-1K transformer. Very effective at 30′ height for NVIS on 80, and world-wide on 40-10 without a tuner. Is also an effective radiator on 60m using an outboard tuner.

I have used an EF8010 for many years and am very happy with the antenna overall. I recently replaced the wire portion and found that the plastic fittings at each end of the replacement wire were much thinner perhaps “ cheaper “. Than the originals So I used the original plastic end pieces since it appeared to me that the wire would suffer less wear vs the replacements.

The original antenna wire was stuck in a tree and had to be cut. I originally planned to extend it with new wire to the design length. Your kit made it so much easier than the repair. Thanks!

Oh, I really like the antenna. I have been trying to string it up on my property. Gosh! That bugger is really long. So, I had to double it up a couple of times so that I would not have parts of it laying on the ground, etc. I have not used it on high frequency yet because I have just ordered my high frequency transceiver. I am hoping that the SWR will be naturally low and that the transceivers’s internal tuner will not have to work too hard. Lol! But overall, the item came in on time as expected and it looks good. Thank you.

I bought this to replace my old wire assembly. The old one had lasted through a few hurricanes and tropical storms. It was draped over a tree due to the very limited space in my backyard and HOA neighborhood.
