EFHW-8010-1KW-ICAS Multi-Band End Fed Half-Wave Antenna with pole/tower installation hardware
The EFHW-8010-1KW-ICAS is a premium End-Fed Half-Wave (EFHW) antenna designed for seamless multi-band operation across the 80/40/30/20/17/15/12/10m bands. Unlike many end-fed antennas on the market, this model requires no antenna tuner, thanks to its resonance on 80m (3.5 MHz) and its harmonics (2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.).

Grounding Recommendations
- Grounding the coaxial cable at the home’s entry point is highly recommended to protect equipment from electrostatic buildup and prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD).
- If the transformer box is mounted high above the ground, grounding at the box is unnecessary—ground the coaxial cable instead.
- Note: Grounding does not affect antenna tuning.
SWR Performance
- Typical SWR readings are better than 2:1 when mounted 25–30 feet above ground and fed with 50 feet of RG8X coaxial cable.

Nothing is perfect, but this antenna is better than good!
I went out to field day in 2016 and heard them fawning over the My Antennas End Fed. I was stuck in HOAville, and couldn’t see the 130 foot wire over my yard. Maybe I was a little paranoid, but I didn’t test it. I did buy two for field day, and T-Rex. One is none and two is one!
At field day, they worked great! We have PVC antenna shooters and got it up 60+ feet, measured by coax length. Now we could hear all the goofs, noobs, and just plain errors up to the final hours.
The antenna went up in four different places, eight times. Great care was employed in retrieaval and packing. The last time, the wire was five feet longer than a new one! It was broken somewhere. Still, it made the trip to Idaho from Virginia the whole time. I bought two of the thicker wire kits.
Meanwhile, I escaped HOAville. I put the other one up and used it for six years, 60 to 70 feet up in two trees. The antenna fell during a wind storm. The wire broke at the trap.
I worked all states on 80, 40, and 20. I’ve got confirmations from 130 countries, 110 on 20M. This is truly a multi-band wonder! I’ll be buying more wire kits.
